Statement of Faith
We believe:
· In one God – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
· That the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to
faith and Christian living.
· Man is born with a fallen nature, and is therefore, inclined to evil
· That the impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost
· That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and
believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin
· That believers are to strive towards sanctification, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ and baptism with the Holy Spirit
· That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth (Matthew 7:20 and Galatians 5)
Statement of Faith through Scripture:
· We believe that the Bible, inclusive of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. Inerrant in matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
· We believe in One God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Duet. 6:4; Matthew 28:18-20)
· We believe in the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and all things visible and invisible. (Gen. 1:1-25; Romans 1:20)
· We believe in Creation and that man was created in the image and likeness of God. That Adam and Eve yielded to the temptation of satan and became fallen creatures. We believe that all men and women are born in need of a Savior, and a deeper work at heart cleansing. (Gen. 1:26; Mark 10: 6-7)
· We believe in the Incarnation, the Virgin birth, and the Deity of our Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ substitutional atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the Cross. We believe in His power to save men from their sins. We believe in the Resurrection of His body from the grave, His ascension into heaven and that He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our advocate. We believe that He will personally come again. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith and in the atoning blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Matt. 1:23, 1Cor. 15; Rom. 10:12-13; Eph. 2:8-9)
· We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and that a regenerated man must walk in humble obedience and dependence upon the Holy Spirit by faith to please God. (Eph. 5:18; Acts 4:31)
· We believe that the church, composed of all those who truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, is the Body and bride of Christ. We believe that Christ is the head of the Body, the Church; that all believers are united into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, and having thus become member of one another, we are responsible to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Col. 2:9-11; Eph. 6:7-8; Phil. 2:1-3)
