Philosophy of Education
The Acts Christian Academy foundational philosophy of education:
· Teaches a biblical view
· Teaches everything in light and through the filter of Scripture
· Upholds the behavioral and character standards of a Godly home
· Under girds the parents’ role as the God-ordained trainers of their children
· Provides Godly role models whose lives are strong in character and personal discipline
With a Christian focus, students grow in a sense of conscience, morality and values. We stress the importance of self-respect to help students make responsible decisions: even in the midst of strong peer pressure. Students focus on relationships with friends, adults, family, and God. Bible truths are taught through Bible lessons, stories, songs, informal conversation, chapel, and scripture memory. Our teachers will focus on success as the child’s building blocks for learning and developing Christian character.
· We want to give children the spiritual foundation to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
· We seek to promote Christian values in all areas of life and to provide an environment conducive to Christian growth.
· We incorporate the teaching of Christian principles throughout our curriculum and daily activities.
· We desire to teach students that faith in and obedience to Jesus Christ is essential to a successful and meaningful life.
· We want to give students the academic foundation for lifelong learning.
· We provide a quality education taught from a Christian prospective and in a Christian environment. Our teachers are professed believers in Jesus Christ.
· We want to give students the social foundation to treat others with respect and the emotional foundation to become the person God created them to be.
· We encourage teachers and students to edify each other. Bullying and other disrespectful attitudes and actions are not permitted
